"pick ur fav show and change three things about it. write a story about that au." - Anonymous (I deleted the message before I screencapped it because I’m a stupid shit.)
Summary/Prompt: AU where Nagisa is an aspiring artist who can’t quite perfect drawing his lover and Rei is a talented writer who can’t find the right words to describe the love of his life.
Fandom: Free! Iwatobi Swim Club
Pairing: Reigisa
Rating: M
A/N: Cool, an AU prompt! We all know my favorite show/anime right now is Free!, so technically that’s not even a question. Okay, so I changed three things:
◦The story has nothing to do with swimming (major plot twist).
◦Nagisa, since he’s a terrible artist in the anime, is a talented in fine arts.
◦Rei, instead of being a confident, calculating mathematician like in the anime, I portrayed him as a quiet author.
So yeah, I pretty much swapped a few things around. I hope this is what you were referring to Anon and sorry if it isn’t! I did have a lot of fun writing this though!
